8/30 Update PRACTICE SCHEDULE NEXT THREE WEEKS Week 8/30 - No speed/agility or keeper on Wednesday 9/1. No practices this Friday 9/3. All boys team practice MONDAY & THURSDAY. All Girls teams practice TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY, same times. Week 9/6 - No speed/agility or keeper on Wednesday 9/8. No practices on Monday 9/6. All boys team practice WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. All Girls teams practice TUESDAY & FRIDAY, same times. Week 9/13 - NORMAL PRACTICE SCHEDULE. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As we discussed at the team meeting the plan for practices for Fall will be: U08 boys Monday & Thursday 5:00 to 6:30 pm U10 boys Monday & Thursday 5:00 to 6:30 pm U11 boys Monday & Thursday 6:30 to 8:00 pm U12 boys Monday & Thursday 6:30 to 8:00 pm U13 boys Monday & Thursday 6:30 to 8:00 pm U14 boys Monday & Thursday 6:30 to 8:00 pm U10 girls Tuesday & Friday 5:00 to 6:30 pm U11 girls Tuesday & Friday 5:00 to 6:30 pm U12 girls Tuesday & Friday 6:30 to 8:00 pm U14 girls Tuesday & Friday 6:30 to 8:00 pm Everyone - Speed/Agility & Keeper sessions Wednesday's 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PARK RIDGE TOURNAMENT UPDATE FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW WE WERE CROWNED CLUB CHAMPION We had 5 teams win their championship and two teams take 3rd. U-10A girls did not compete U-10B girls played well and took 3rd place, they were only 1 goal from playing for the championship U-11A girls played in the highest level of U12 to have stronger competition and took 3rd place, only mssing 2nd because they allowed 1 more goal. U-11B girls played well all weekend competing against teams in higher divisions. U-13 girls advanced to the finials by winning a shootout and then winning the championship game. U-09 boys took the championship U-10a boys took the championship U-10b boys played hard all weekend against strong competition U-11 boys took the championship U-12 boys just missed advancing by losing two games each by a goal, but played hard all weekend. U-13 boys took the championship 5/24 iLLINOIS CUP UPDATE Over the weekend we had four teams compete in the Illinois Cup: U-10 girls went 4-0 and were crowned the Champion U-11 girls last years state champion, went 2-1 and missed going to the finial U-09 boys went to the finials and lost 4-3 in a hard played game and were crowed Finialist U-10 boys went 2-1 and just missed going to the finial | Illinois Cup Champions & Finalists |  |
5/14 Update: Kickers United F.C. Announces Strategic Alliance Kickers United F.C. ( KUFC Premier ) of Elgin, IL is pleased to announce a new and stratigic alliance with the Academy United Soccer Club. The two clubs will work together to improve and enhance the female soccer development programs currently available to High School students in Illinois and Region II, while focusing on joint community impact initiatives and tournament staging for elite national and international players. "KUFC has a history of soccer success in the Fox Valley area, State Cup Tournaments and a great reputation as host of the Back To School Classic Tournament " said Peter Glon, Director of Coaching for The Academy United SC. " Working with KUFC at the High School level will be exiting opportunity to build a lasting program with the ultimate goal of developing the female athlete of today to be a global leader of tomorrow." "I welcome the opportunity to work with the Academy SC on new and innovative ways to spread the life message and leadership opportunities that soccer offers girls of all ages, " said Jeff Walter, Administrator of Kickers United F.C. (KUFC Premier). " Together we can make a difference in so many areas." The first step in this alliance will be to gauge the interest of players and teams in participating in the programs and schedules that are currently planned for the 2010 - 2011 season for both clubs and then matching the players and teams to the programs that best meet their goals and desires on the field of play and in the community, with the ulitimate goal of preparation for the college level. |
